Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently fights in the UFC flyweight division. Shevchenko's older sister is of an earlier UFC Flyweight champ and fellow UFC participant Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started out as a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and later defeated Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina then followed up with took home a silver in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008 and a gold award in the year 2011 and the title of year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia began her professional career at the age of 2003. She took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012, in the lightweight division of Lion Fight Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships as well as Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina defeated Isa Tudblad Keskikangas for her last fight at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. It was an unanimous decision to win. Antonina Shevchenko broke the professional MMA record at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She took the win via second round TKO and won her next two bouts at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. Her record was of 3-3-0. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She returned to fight Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui's fight in a unified decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 by an unanimous vote. In 2018, she quit the league and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko was defeated by Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina Shevchenko defeated Nievera thanks to her superior striking abilities during the clinch, using knees to body. Antonina's UFC contract was extended following the win. Antonina was given the UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko defeated Kim via unanimous decision but lost her following fight against Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to beat Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the evening in this bout. Shevchenko was 1-2 over the following three fights. She beat Ariane Lipski, and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee.
